5 Cheap Android Mobile Smartphones Under 100$

What nobody has told you about Cheap Chinese Mobile Smartphones

Brands such as Xiaomi have moved Chinese mobile phones industry to a leading position in the smartphones market, even going so far as to compete with the most recognized brands. The point is that the concept of ‘ Chinese mobile,’ sometimes used to encompass very diverse firms and, in fact, do not meet the same standards that we should mark as the minimum. That is what nobody has told you about Chinese mobile phones.

The first thing we must take into account is that China is the place of manufacture for more electronics brands and components that you can imagine, and one of the cases is the Spanish BQ that ‘brings from there’ their phones but complying with all European standards. Even Apple manufactures its terminals in China, but it is also another case apart. Therefore, we must take into account several factors before talking about Chinese phones, because otherwise, we will be putting those who do not belong in the same bag.

Chinese mobiles: Who and from whom are they really

Yes, brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus or Lenovo are Chinese, but they are not comparable Elephone, Kingzone or BYLYND. Simply by the minimum quality standards that each brand follows, and because companies like Huawei, for example, have a presence directly in our country and have their distribution network here. That affects several vital points, such as quality, technical support, warranty, after sales and others. Therefore, the first thing we should know is really who we are buying and forget about comparisons limited exclusively to the hardware of the team.

I mean, by way of summary, would you put in the same bag to BQ as to Elephone? Huawei in the same as Kingzone? Apparently, they are not the same type of ‘Chinese mobile’.

Do you save money? How much and why

The decision to buy a Chinese phone usually comes, in most cases, with the intention of saving by buying a smartphone, something that is not always true. Although it is true that even with the customs costs most of us get cheaper, that lower price still has an explanation. The best thing that can happen to the buyer is that, only, the brand has a lower profit margin, and this is the reason for saving. But it can also be due to lower quality components both hardware and body construction. Tougher and brittle plastics, or even a poor fabrication with sharp edges, something that also occurs in the most extreme cases.

In what some companies also save is in advertising, in terms of design or just in their distribution network. Does this affect us? Surely not a point with too many risks for us, then this does not have to throw us back when buying a Chinese mobile. What is important is everything related to after sales, from technical service to software updates.

What are the risks of buying a Chinese mobile?

Many, few, or even none. The key is in the first thing we have explained and is that a brand like Huawei, Lenovo, Xiaomi, Meizu and many others are 100% reliable, or at least as much as any other firm of the likes of Apple, Samsung, LG Electronics or Sony. Now, if we opt for less recognized brands, such as BYLYND, we must take into account the compatibility with mobile networks, the support that the brand can offer us in its after-sales service, the import costs that we may have to assume in its step by customs …

At the end of the day, what we should always keep in mind is that the smartphone does not matter solely and exclusively by the figures of its hardware, but that the brand is significant in these cases. Indeed, we can save money when buying a new terminal, but the performance of one of these Chinese brands of dubious brands will never  be compared with a Samsung Galaxy S6, iPhone 6s, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium or LG G4, and no after-sales service.

Therefore, although the savings will be lower, whenever we want to spend less money on a new mobile it is advisable to look at Chinese smartphones, yes, but with precautions and taking into account mainly recognized brands. In the case of Huawei, Lenovo, Xiaomi, Meizu or OnOnePlus,s well as some others, we have equipment with benefits for all levels, and prices somewhat more contained.
